The
older greeke polis were the stage of the greece culture.They were
elevated ,they were refugees by the walls.The house they piled up
they formed narrow and irregular streets.
The
reconstruction of the city of Atenas after was destroyed by Jerjes in
480 a.c, framework a milestone in the urban conception. The oldest
and tallest part, the acropolis, was dedicated to gods concentrating

there were plenty of places to meet in the city, public space as:
- The agora: public square and neuralgic center of the city, in her they were the most important public buildings and the temples.
- Stoa: arcaded corridors located on the sides of the square to protect from sun and rain. They used to be decorated with paintings to make the walk more pleasant.
- The buleuterios and eclesiasterios: space for the politic discussion.

- Gymnasium, Arena and stadium: for sports competitions and trainings.
- Temples: They were located in special areas (acropolis), usually in the upper parts of the cities.
The
greek polis was extended for the Mediterranean with the colonization,
adapting to the Orthographic diversity of each place. The change of
the Model occurred during the Hellenism. The new cities founded by
Alexander and his successors applied the ideas of Hipodamo of Miletus
(498-408 BC) who, after the destruction of his city by the Persians
projected a plane of straight streets, orthogonal or "checkerboard".

greek polis in the actuality will be to many modern and theirs
buildings will be to many diferent. There would be fields around and
the people won´t work in the agriculture and the trade. Their
customs wouldn't be the same and the olympic games would be very
different.
